Wake to the sounds of a Bush Symphony playing outside your window - with live Didjeridu accompaniment - before warming-up the body for a '12 House Salute to the Sun' and 100 minutes of Asana and Pranayama Practice, in an idyllic setting at Eli Creek.

Following Asana and Pranayama, you have the option to:

  • bathe your body in the pristine creek-waters whilst the current float you weightlessly downstream to a beach-pool
  • OR to stretch out under a tree to savour the peace and tranquility your Yoga practice brings, here on K'gari.

After the fun-filled physical Yoga morning we head back for a shower and breakfast at Happy Valley, before packing up and driving inland for a 'Yogo Day Out'.

K'gari is famous for its natural beauty, towering rain forests and wondrous, wilderness walks. The rest of Day 2 is ours to discover some of the many treasures - for a Yoga Practitioner - hidden on the Island. Nearing dusk we leave the 4WD at the King Fisher Bay Resort and trek south along the Western Beach, as the colours appear in the sky, for our short hike to meet the 'DayTripper' - an eco-friendly 40ft Barge.

The DayTripper will take us out onto the sky blue waters of the Great Sandy Straits for the second leg of your YOGO Adventure. We board the DayTripper, meet the Captain and Crew, then sit down on the deck and wind the 'Raja Yoga Wheel' around to the 5th Fold in the 8 Fold Yogic Path - Pratyahara a practice of turning the mind inward, and restraining it from going outward, then revolving the matter of the now still-mind in order to understand IT.

Late to bed and early to rise - the Yogis say - The DayTripper becomes a houseboat for the night, floating in the untouched natural beauty of a starlit wonderland, ready to gently rock you to sleep, in a swag set out on the deck ...
