Raja Yoga is one of the four major Yogic paths of Hinduism. Raja Yoga involves psycho-physical meditational techniques to attain experience of the truth and finally achieve liberation described in Hindu thought to be moksha.

The eight limbs of Raja Yoga are:

  1. Yama (self-restraint)
  2. Niyama (religious observances)
  3. Asana (posture)
  4. Pranayama (regulation of breath)
  5. Pratyahara (abstraction of the senses)
  6. Dharana (concentration)
  7. Dhyana (meditation)
  8. Samadhi (superconscious state)
